Cosmopolitan Lingerie heats up South Africa this winter
South Africa may find itself in the throes of a particularly cold winter, but Cosmopolitan is heating things up in September with the annual Lingerie supplement, in association with Schwarzkopf. As usual, Cosmopolitan Lingerie 2012 showcases SA’s top lingerie brands and the latest trends in true Cosmo style. But this year the magazine has also featured six local celebrities in gorgeous lingerie to celebrate South Africa’s fun, fearless females, as well as the many different body types of real women.
‘This year’s lingerie supplement offers the usual top-quality Cosmo styling that shows off all the hottest trends, but we’ve also included some of our favourite celebrities in the issue,’ says editor Sbu Mpungose. ‘All women, no matter what their body type, are worth celebrating, and lingerie is the perfect way to make you feel sexy and confident.’
This year’s Cosmopolitan Lingerie supplement features a number of celebrated South African models. The Wild actress and Always brand ambassador Gail Nkoane can be seen, as well as Wonderbra model Natasha Barnard, who just landed the coveted Armani Exchange campaign for the Fall 2012 collection. Local beauty Candice Boucher, joining the likes of Claudia Schiffer and Adriana Lima as a Guess girl, models the famed brand’s new lingerie range.
The celebrities included in the special Local Stars lingerie spread are:
- Minnie Dlamini – Actress, DJ
- Melinda Bam – Miss South Africa 2012
- Poppy Ntshongwana – DJ
- Lalla Hirayama – TV Presenter
- Tamara Dey – Singer-Songwriter
- Chiano Sky – Model, Singer
The Cosmopolitan Lingerie fashion show will be held at the Cape Sun hotel in Cape Town on 23 August. The event promises to be a night of glamour and beauty, with a breathtaking lingerie fashion show and top-class entertainment, with the after-party happening at 31.
The September issue of Cosmopolitan is on sale from 20 August 2012.
