A stunning and always stylishly feathered little birdie told us about a fabulous fashion sale coming up this Thursday, 25 March 2010 in Cape Town. Not in the Mother City? Or even in South Africa? Trust us, skatties; this sale is so totally worth hopping on a plane for.
The second Rarely Worn sale will again offer exclusive designer goodies at bargain prices. Now, we realise that the word ‘bargain’ is a bit of a relative one that often has vastly different meanings to different people, but in this case the word is actually an understatement. Case in point: at last year’s event, one lucky shopper reportedly scored a pair of genuine Versace sunglasses for R100 – and no, you do not need to get your eyes checked, because you really did not overlook a few zeroes!
So wipe away those happy tears, because that’s not all…
While shopping for pretty things is often viewed as a frivolous, self-indulgent pursuit – especially by critical husbands/wives/boyfriends/girlfriends/fathers or whoever else it is that owns the credit cards we sometimes* use to fund our little shoesclothesjewelleryhandbag habit – we guarantee that this shopping spree will be entirely guilt-free. Because it’s for charity! (And now we’ll stop rhyming, seriously.) In this instance, much needed monetary and clothing donations will be made to various great charities that take care of women and children.
In case you need even more of an incentive to attend (really?!?), there will also be amazing charity raffle prizes up for grabs, including a two-night stay at a 5-star safari lodge and a gorgeous piece of jewellery from the brand new Joya range that will be introduced that night.
Sold? Then be at the Gallery, 8 Bree Street, Cape Town from 4pm to 11pm on Thursday, March 25, 2010. Also feel free to check out the Facebook invite here.
*Sometimes, since we’re so empowered, we even use our own money to shop with, right girls?
